MyHealthConnect has been developed as part of a research project of the British Columbia Alliance on Telehealth Policy and Research. The goal is to evaluate and gain a better understanding of how to use the Internet to deliver a practical, patient-centred service. This service will be especially helpful for those patients residing in small rural communities, who otherwise would be unable to receive the necessary coordinated care.
MyHealthConnect has been reviewed by Vancouver Coastal Health, Interior Health, Providence Health Care, Simon Fraser University, Fraser Health and Northern Interior Health Authority Research Ethics Board as a resource for patients in British Columbia who have chronic diseases.

MyHealthConnect – Oncology has been developed as part of a Canadian Partnership Against Cancer grant to the BC Cancer Agency, in partnership with Simon Fraser University, Providence Health Care, the Canadian Cancer Society (BC and Yukon, and Nova Scotia Divisions), and Cancer Care Nova Scotia. The goal of this service is to improve the patient experience when transitioning from active cancer care to primary care.
Cancer survivors have expressed that they need support to be the healthiest they can be after completing their cancer treatment. In response to this need, we have developed MyHealthConnect – Oncology, a web-based survivorship portal that encourages patients to self-manage their experience and track progress towards personal goals following active cancer treatment.
